A creative end to the year
Mice and cats were in the manger last week at Bairnsdale Christian Community School as they retold the Christmas Story to mark the end of year.
The much anticipated Family Night saw all year levels perform, with all school children involved in a production of ‘The Cat in the Manger’, complete with musical numbers, narration and a captivating story line.
“It was a great end to the year, and was lovely to see all children involved and enjoying themselves,” said Principal Steve McAllister. “The production allowed each year level to participate, with children choosing what role they would play in the production, which was a retelling of the story of Jesus being born.”
The evening also saw the graduation of the school’s 11 grade six students, who will have their own celebration at the annual grade six dinner. School will finish for the year on December 13.
“It’s been a great year, and I’m pleased to see how children have progressed in their learning throughout the year. It has been a pleasure to be part of the school community this year, and I wish everyone a blessed and joyful Christmas and new year,” said Mr McAllister.
