Family Fun Day a success
More than 600 people attended Bairnsdale Christian Community School’s Family Fun Day on Saturday.
The event featured presentations by Black Snake Productions, fresh produce stalls and rides, activities and prizes for all ages.
“It was great to see so many people from the community here to support the BCCS and FELC community,” said Coordinator Carolyn Betts.
“Our volunteers did a fantastic job manning the stalls and helping things go smoothly, with everyone from kinder to grade six involved, including former students, our parents and friends.
“This year saw the return of the hay rides, which are always a hit, in addition to the pony rides, fairy floss and real coffee for the parents. We also had a photo booth and speedway car display as something new on the day.
“Bairnsdale CFA had a display with a fire truck and smoke room set up, which was great to see, while in the kinder our face painting volunteers were kept busy all day.
“Overall, we are really happy with how the event went and are thankful for our sponsors and volunteers who helped make the day possible. The funds raised will go towards improving learning facilities across the Early Learning Centre and School. We’re already starting to plan for next year’s event.”
