Early Childhood Educator

Bairnsdale Christian Community School is seeking qualified, skilled staff with a passion for Christian education for the position of Early Childhood Educator commencing in Term 1, 2019. This is a full time, ongoing role, with the opportunity to work as part of a close-knit team, running one of two four year old kindergarten programs at our early learning centre.

Office Administrator

Bairnsdale Christian Community School is seeking an Office Administrator who is passionate about serving the whole school community - students, parents, staff, school leadership and members of the wider community; and loves working in a team where no two days are the same. This is a full time, ongoing role, under the direction of the school’s Business Manager and Principal, with the opportunity to work as part of a close-knit team.

Our ideal candidate is a reliable experienced administrator who loves a challenge. Working in a fast-paced environment, you are highly organised with a keen eye for detail. You need to be flexible, have initiative, and a great sense of humour. You need to own the role and think outside the box. Ideally you have some prior experience working in a complex organisational environment but it is not essential.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with proven experience in office management and customer service, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy of documentation and records.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and within a team environment, including proven ability and self-motivation to take initiative to solve problems.
  • Proven ability to organise, prioritise and manage individual and organisational workloads within required deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to provide effective liaison between staff, families, the Principal, School Board and Parent and Friends Committee, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and discern sensitive issues.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
  • Good knowledge of social media platforms, capacity to update website content, ability to quickly learn online systems and keep knowledge up to date
